  2.         Installing the WIND/X Display Driver for GEM
  3.  
  4.      In order to install this graphics driver for GEM:
  5.  
  6. NOTE: This driver only works in the 1024x768 mode.More 
  7.       drivers will be available as they are released.
  8.       
  9.      1) Install GEM as described in the doucumentation
  10.      included with the software.  If GEM is already
  11.      installed on your system, go to Step 2.
  12.  
  13.      2) Go to the subdirectory where GEM is installed.
  14.  
  15.           Example:  C:\> cd\gemapps\gemsys
  16.  
  17.      3) Place the WIND/X Driver Disk in drive A and close
  18.      the door. Copy the files from the GEM directory.
  19.  
  20.           Example:  C:\GEMAPPS\GEMSYS>COPY A:\GEM\*.*
  21.  
  22.      4) To ensure that the mouse will work correctly, you
  23.      must run the GEM installation program to reset the
  24.      mouse type.  Do the following:
  25.  
  26.           4a) Get the original GEM distribution disks and
  27.           put the one labled "SYSTEM MASTER" into drive A.
  28.           Close the door, and goto A by typing "A:".
  29.  
  30.           4b) Run the installation program by typing
  31.           "GEMSETUP".
  32.  
  33.           4c) When prompted, choose
  34.                'Change existing configuration',
  35.                     'Continue',
  36.                'Change current setup',
  37.           and then select the  mouse entry.  Reset the mouse
  38.           even if the setup looks correct.
  39.  
  40.           4d) Answer the rest of the questions, saving the
  41.           new setup.
  42.  
  43.      5) Run the application as before, by typing GEM.
